North defeated Immortals in the grand final of DreamHack Open Montreal 2017, winning the first map by default due to the Brazilians not showing on time and then taking Cobblestone 16-9.
The grand final of DreamHack Open Montreal started with some controversy, as the organizers ruled that the first map of the series was to be forfeited by Immortals as a result of them not showing on time to play. That meant that Mirage, North's pick, was skipped, and the Danes moved on to the second map with a 1-0 map advantage.
Immortals did not show up in time for the start of the grand final and as a result have forfeited the first map.

The start to Cobblestone featured both teams winning force-buys, with North being able to secure consecutive rounds for the first time in round six, as Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen and Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke both picked up two. That started a series of Terrorist side rounds going the way of the Danish team, who were spearheaded by the aforementioned k0nfig, as well as Philip "aizy" Aistrup.
It was 10-2 for North before Immortals could add more rounds to their tally, with Henrique "HEN1" Teles's double-shot with the AWP allowing his team to go up to 10-4. The first half ended 11-4 in favor of the Danes, with Lucas "steel" Lopes and co. being able to win the pistol, overflowing the A site, keeping themselves in the game.
After opting for two conservative rounds, MSL's side went into the first buy round well equipped, with the double AWP setup on k0nfig and René "cajunb" Borg yielding three kills on a full lockout round (12-7).
Another North buy round win followed, breaking Immortals' economy and allowing aizy and co. to go up to a 14-7 lead. The Brazilians had a chance to get back into the game with their following buy, but Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså clutched out a 1v3 on the A site to get his team on to match point.
Immortals prolonged the match a bit, but aizy's triple kill in mid shut down the Brazilian side, finishing the map 16-9.
